We should be thankful that a beer of such character is readily available - a trusty friend to whom we can return when more exotic treats are unavailable. Amber reddish in colour. It has a burnt toffee flavour with a mid-range fruity finish not dissimilar to christmas cake. The hoppy aftertaste is pleasantly bitter and lasts a while in the mouth. All in all, a good and reliable brew and also an excellent introduction for newcomers to decent beer.
